Strawberry Shortcake Rice Krispie Bars

  • 1 box rice cereal

  • 1 bag big marshmallows

  • 1 bag small marshmallows, divided

  • 1 frozen poundcake, found in freezer section, diced into small cubes

  • 1 bag freeze dried strawberries

  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 stick salted butter

Melt butter in big stock pot.

Add big marshmallows and half of the mini marshmallows.

Stir continuously until melted.

Add vanilla. stir.

Add rice cereal.

Take off of heat.

Add poundcake, the remaining mini marshmallows, and crunch the strawberries in your hand as you add them.

Stir well.

Grease a 9x13 in pan.

Pour cereal mixture into pan.

It may seem like too much for the pan, but it will fit.

Take a piece of parchment paper ad place on top of cereal mixture.

Press down using the paper as a barrier for your hands.

This will keep your hands from becoming sticky.

Press firmly until all evenly into pan.

Let cool completely before cutting.

Keep covered.
