Gouda French Onion Juicy Lucy

  • Onion buns

  • 1 1/2 lb 80/20 beef

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp worchestershire sauce

  • 2 tbsp minced garlic

  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard

  • 1 envelope french onion soup mix

  • gouda slices, folded into 1/4’s

  • 1 tbsp steak seasoning

  • 1 tbsp A1 sauce

  • 2 small white onions

  • 2 tbsp butter

Mix meat, mustard, worchstershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, steak sauce, and soup mix.

Don’t overmix

Divide the meat into 4 equal sections.

Take one section and divide into 2 patties.

Place folded gouda in center of pattie.

Cover and pinch edges to seal the cheese.

Repeat until all 4 patties are prepared

These may seem really big but after grilling they will shrink

Season both sides with salt, pepper and steak seasoning

Grill 7 minutes per side

Meanwhile prepare sauted onions.

Cook in skillet low and slow with butter, until transluscent

Toast buns
