• 1lb Jimmy Dean sage sausage

• 1lb Jimmy Dean hot sausage

• 1 jar Marinara sauce ( your favorite brand will work)

• lasagna noodles, uncooked

• 4 tbsp dried basil, divided

• 4 tbsp minced garlic, divided

• 4 tbsp dried oregano, divided

• 1 small container ricotta cheese

• 1 small container cottage cheese

• 1 egg

• 2 small bags shredded mozzarella

• dried parsley

Lightly grease deep 9 x 13 inch pan. Cook sausage through.

Add 2 tbsp dried oregano, 2 tbsp dried basil, and 2 tbs minced garlic.

Add marinara. Mix and set aside.

In medium bowl, stir ricotta, cottage cheese, remaining spices and egg. Set aside.

Now it’s time to assemble. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on bottom of pan.

Layer with uncooked lasagna noodles. Layer with 4 heaping spoonfuls of cheese mixture.

Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Layer generously with meat mixture.

Continue layering, but make sure you end with meat sauce.

Add 2-3 cups shredded mozzarella to the top and sprinkle with parsley.

Bake at 375 for 30-60 minutes. Knife test the center to see if soft.

Tent with foil if cheese is getting too browned.

Once center is soft and the edges are bubbly, remove.

Let sit for at least 10 minutes before cutting or serving. Enjoy!
