Bruschetta Burger

bruschetta:

  • 1 crate baby tomatoes, halved

  • 5 leaves fresh basil, chopped

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • salt and pepper

  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 1/8 cup olive oil

Place all ingredients in a small bowl, stir and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.

burgers:

  • buns

  • 1 pound 80/20 ground beef

  • 1 tbsp dried basil

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

  • 4 tbsp tomato marinade, no tomatoes just the juice

  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella, sliced

  • salt and pepper

First make the bruschetta. Then, make your burgers.

In a large bowl, combine beef, basil, garlic, and tomato marinade. Form into 4 patties.

Grill burgers to your liking. Build your burger. Place burger on bottom bun on cookie sheet.

Top with mozzarella slice. Broil in the oven until cheese is melted.

Top with bruschetta and marinade, add your top bun.
